Carmelo heads the Corporate & Commercial Practice of the firm. He is highly sought after by listed and private clients for advice on a broad range of transactions and regulatory compliance matters.
Carmelo has previously sat on the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (as chairman from 2012 to 2015, deputy chairman from 2009 to 2012 and member from 2000 to 2003), and is currently one of the chairmen of the Listing Review Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Carmelo is a non-executive director of Playmates Holdings Limited and Safety Godown Company, Limited; and an independent non-executive director of China Mobile Limited, all of which are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He is also an independent non-executive director of S.F. Holding Co., Ltd. which is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
